my eyes

they see

but only dimly

this life

so rearranged

I’m not the same

I’m no longer the same

this life

no longer my own

i try to live

that glory may be shown

then i fail

things unravel

storm clouds form, darkness whispers,

“I’m coming!”

what do I do?

where do I go?

to what do I cling?

i find my sword…

“I lift up my eyes to the hills, from whence cometh my help

my help comes from the Lord,

maker of heaven and earth!”

i shout with lips who’ve found their voice…

insides breathed to life

my fallen step, steadied

i raise my eyes to look upon

the beauty of my God and King

standing victorious

rolling back the clouds

night becomes day

a promise in the sky

He has set me free!

captivity held captive

i behold my Savior

Fire in His eyes

coming for me

with thundering authority He declares,

“This one is MINE!”

I especially love the fire in His eyes and His thundering authority. What a majestic picture!

Beautiful picture you created with words. I love how you declare at the end… “This one is MINE!” Amen to that!
