I got nothin’.

Nothing that’s not heard before, nothing that’s not a cliche.

We all know what ‘focus’ IS. I feel like if I expounded it would be adding to the reverberating echo.

I’m not complaining. Not by any means. Nor am I making light or scoffing at the other voices.

Honestly? I think I’m at a loss for what to write…

and I’m betting it’s because this last week has been a blur. a big ol’ blurry blur.

OUT of focus, that is.

From all the things that need to be done, to the things that are going on in this crazy world not to mention my insomnia and messed up dreams I’ve been having and then my husband was gone for most of the week for work…

I think I can’t talk about being focused because my lens is out of focus.

It’s not that I don’t know what to do to refocus it

it’s not that I don’t want to

it’s just that all this blurry dizziness of life and sleeplessness and swirling of emotion have got me all discombobulated and stuff. you know?

*deep breath*

COme on Traci…simmah down… (hee hee hee)

Ok, Lord, I need you so bad right now.

Help me to FOCUS. all the blurriness stuff is too blurry for me to see

to see YOU

Please, Jesus, help me bring my thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ

help me cast down these strongholds and everything and anything that would exalt itself against the knowledge of YOU.

Peace, be still.

And He replies…with His Word…ah yes, His Words…

Philippians 4…

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.”

Ah yes…here…here at last…

is my FOCUS.

Oh thank

Five Minute Friday

1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community..

Isn’t it so hard to get back in focus once we wander out of focus? I have such a hard time getting out of my funk and back into my life. Thanks for your honesty!

Focusing on truth sure helps to silence the lies. Strange thing, though, when you are tired those lies loudly whisper to you. Thanks for sharing…I hope you can get some sleep. It’s pretty amazing stuff. Right up there next to tea!

Traci, that was a great post. The beauty of FMF is that it’s your interpretation of the word. Somedays, that might mean writing about how you currently feel like the polar opposite. Other days, you may feel that it’s unoriginal BUT the “Traci spin” will make the topic one of a kind.

I’m glad you posted. Thanks for sharing that scripture passage. Blessings to you today :)

Traci, you did it. You wrote from the heart and finished facing Him. That’s a perfectly rounded 5 minute write! We saw you…where you’re at. And I’m leaving encouraged….

Thrilled you joined in on #FMFParty so I knew to visit! :)
